How to use the bulk highlighter?

Step 1: Use a shiny primer. Even if you're only using a highlighter, it's important to lay a primer underneath. You can even pick a primer that helps add to your glossy look.

Step 2: Shake and pat. Loose highlighters are known for their mess, and for good reason. All it takes is a little spillage and you'll find a lot of sparkles on the floor (just kidding). That's why you don't want to deviate from these steps. While your highlighter's cap is being held tightly, turn it upside down and give it a shake or two. Then, tap it on your dresser or counter.

Step 3: Pick up the powder. The tips in step 1 help deposit the product on the lid of the highlighter, which you can use as a makeshift palette. Using the highlighter on the lid, rather than dipping it directly into the jar or tub containing most of the product, helps you reduce the risk of creating a mess or soaking up too much product. Use a small makeup brush to swirl the highlighter around the inside of the lid, then tap off any excess around the edges.

Step 4: Highlight the high points. Using a makeup brush, apply a highlighter above the cheekbones, below the bridge of the nose, and along Cupid's bow. For extra radiance, use a smaller brush to highlight the inner corners of the eyes and the brow bone.

Step 5: Highlight your body as well. A loose highlighter is not reserved for your face! If you want a little glow on the skin below your neck. If you want to give the skin below your neck a glow, it can do that too. And you don't even need a separate product to do the job. Using a fluffy makeup brush, sweep the powder along your collar bone and shoulders.

Step 6: Set your makeup with a spray. Don't let your makeup slip through the day. To make sure your highlighter stays in place, give your skin a few sprays of setting spray.
